I grew up on the shores of Lake Michigan, where long Midwest summers and quiet introspection shaped my lifelong habit of writing stories. My path took a scientific turn first—I earned a master’s in molecular biology and worked in biomedical research at UCLA and the Medical College of Wisconsin. But writing has always been my first love. Over time, that love evolved into a passion for crafting emotionally charged, twist-filled fiction.
I write fast-paced, immersive stories where multiple plotlines collide in unexpected ways. Beneath the intrigue, my work reflects a deep curiosity about human nature, spirituality, and resilience. My characters are often flawed antiheroes—wrestling with their mistakes, seeking redemption, and ultimately just wanting to be loved.
My style is shaped by the rhythm and resonance of ‘90s music, television, and literature. I’m especially drawn to John Steinbeck’s East of Eden—his gift for crafting perfect sentences and finding beauty in bleakness is the kind of storytelling I strive for: deliberate, poetic, and emotionally true.
Above all, I write to entertain and connect. I believe stories can spark joy, offer hope, and remind us that no one is truly alone—not in fiction, not in life.
My blog explores these themes through autofiction—beginning with the disappearance of a woman I knew in college, back in the mid ‘90s.
